Temples | The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints

Welcome back to another blog! If any of you have ever wanted to attend the temples by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints while on vacation, here are some tips to make that happen!

Know where your final destination is and what the route is. If you know your route you are able to plan accordingly to the temples along the route or in close proximity of the route. You don't want to go far off your route if you have plans at future stopping points, but if the temple is a priority than consider changing the route/plans. The second that my family drove through the mid-west to get to Tennessee, I was able to attend temples with my dad and sister. Name the day you want to go, if you have to make an appointment, and if they provide baptismal clothing if you aren't sure. Once you find out if they will be open, and if you need an appointment, continue to do so. Let them know that you want to make an appointment for baptisms (if that is the ordinance that you choose to do). If you know the time that you want to attend ask if they any openings at that particular time, if they don't they will give you options to other times that are available. Once you know the time and day, tell them how many people are in your group, counting Priesthood Brethren who will be helping with the ordinance (the ones that have the Melchizedek Priesthood). At the closing of making an appointment, they will ask for your name, and contact info so they can send you a reminder of the time, day and temple you will be attending. This seems like a whole lot of information, but the process isn't as hard as it seems. The information above may not be in the right order, but all of it is relevant.

I know that was a lot to comprehend, but I hope this was all helpful! Feel free to reach out to me via Instagram, email or by leaving messages/questions in the comments below! Merry Christmas!
