Travel Snacks

If any of you guys reading this have any ideas about what to blog about, let me know! I am running out of fun ideas. Blog 11, travel snacks! Everyone has those snacks that they have to include on any trip in order to make it that much better. Here is my list of what is taken for any trip longer than a day and weekend.

For those of you who don't know, I come from a family of seven! Having a big family means having to bring more snacks to keep everyone fed. Which also means having two (2) coolers, and two (2) baskets of snacks. The cooler will contain our sandwich supplies which consist of the following: a couple loafs of bread, mayonnaise, mustard (only for those who like it on their sandwich.), turkey/ham, cheese, you get the idea. We also keep carrots, apples, grapes, go-gurt, hummus in the cooler for snacks and lunches.

Dry, sweet and salty snacks are the ones that we go through the fastest. There's something about eating a dry, room temperature snack without worrying if it's too cold for your teeth. Some of the top hits in my family are Cheez-it, beef jerkey, trail mix, gummy worms. But this is only a few.

Very rarely does my family go out to lunch when we are driving. If we have a long day ahead of us, my sister, Treasure and I will make everyone's sandwich and send it to the front to receive chips, if the person wants them. However, when we are "camped" in a city for a couple days, we'll more likely to go out to lunch and stay home from breakfast. It all depends on what lies ahead of us that day.

I will always have some form of sweet treat that I don't share unless I'm feeling sweet. My treats will very likely have licorice, sour gummy worms, hi-chews, sour watermelon (but only if I get lucky and find some). But if you know me and my love for candy, I can't spend an eight hour car ride without my favorite sweets.

Hope this was insightful. As always feel reach out to me, I'd love to hear from you! Also, if you haven’t already, go check out blog #10 Backpack Essentials!
