Temples | The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints

Image
Welcome back to another blog! If any of you have ever wanted to attend the temples by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints while on vacation, here are some tips to make that happen!         Know where your final destination is and what the route is. If you know your route you are able to plan accordingly to the temples along the route or in close proximity of the route. You don't want to go far off your route if you have plans at future stopping points, but if the temple is a priority than consider changing the route/plans. The second that my family drove through the mid-west to get to Tennessee, I was able to attend temples with my dad and sister. Name  the day you want to go, if you have to make an appointment, and if they provide baptismal clothing if you aren't sure. Once you find out if they will be open, and if you need an appointment, continue to do so. Let them know that you want to make an appointment for baptisms (if that is the ordinance that you choo

Why traveling is super important to me

On my Instagram account I asked you guys what you wanted to see, and in turn I would answer any of your questions, or post what wanted to see. So this post will be dedicated to all things travel related. What made me want to travel, why do I want to continue traveling, what are my plans after my next big trip, etc. So lets get started. ↓     First up, what lead me to discover my desire to travel and see the world? My family plays a huge rule in this. Every since elementary school, my parents have taken me and my sisters on a road trip. First it was Nauvoo, than the West coast, flying out to Boston (just parents and 1/4 sisters), next stop was Disneyland, Tennessee, and the most recent road trip taken was to the Mighty 5 National Parks in Utah. If it weren't for my family and their desire to spend time together and make memories that will last a life-time, I don't think I would be who and where I am today. I probably wouldn't of had the guts to fly to India, and than spe

Introduction Clarification

Welcome back! I will be clearing up any miscommunication you encountered while reading Introduction . So, to start off I'll be explaining the humanitarian trips that I have/will be attending, along with the organizations and what their main purpose of their organization is.      The first organization that I went with is Youth Making A Difference (YMAD). Their mission is "Provide leadership training and practical experiences that make a difference in the world, transforming the lives of the participants and those they serve." YMAD takes two groups high school juniors and seniors on a two-week expedition to India. One group goes to West Bengal, while the other group goes up North to Kullu. I had the wonderful opportunity to attend Kullu. While in Kullu, Operation Parivar (which in Hindu means family) was split into three different schools, sizes of the group depended on how the big the schools was. My school was called Bandal and there were 31 fantastic children for s

Hi ya! I've been wanting to do a blog for a while now, but never found the time to make it work until now. A little bit about me, I am a high school senior, roundtripped to 37/50 US states (yes by car) with my family, I spent two-weeks in India I'll explain more about the trip and organization at a later time, I plan on spending a semester abroad in Ukraine with a different organization I expand on this a little more and why I decided to spend time there. I am a HUGE Disney fan! You name it, and I have probably seen it and/or listened to the sound track for it. I love movie watching, listening to music, going for drives with the windows down and music blasting throw the stereos.           For those of you out there, who want to know the weird facts here you go! Toothbrush color is purple, I'm left handed, I love drinking pickle juice, my breakfast in Elementary school consisted of mayonnaise on a slice of toast. Yes, you heard that right, mayo and toast for breakfast.
